In addition, Sony has announced a partnership with Brendan Greene, the creator of the extreme survival mod Battle Royale, for a dedicated Battle Royale H1Z1 server. "Early access isn't for everyone and it's fair to say you're paying for something that isn't finished, is buggy, and rough around the edges," Sony explained. Sony stresses that the version of H1Z1 available on Steam Early Access does not represent the final edition of the game, which will be free-to-play. The game will expand with new features and functionality over time. The in-development version of H1Z1 available now on Steam includes crafting, base building, combat, vehicles, circle-of-death, day/night cycle, weather, player vitals, hunting and forging, and zombies. These private servers will be initially available by invitation only, though Sony said it plans to expand their availability later on. Sony also plans to test private servers through Steam Access, allowing players to create unique rulesets and more.
